Magsafe-ish cable of new iMac might be Apple version of Surface connector
Which I was thinking all the time since rumour of returning of Magsafe to Mac

Apple introduced new 24 inch iMac in the event of 20th Apr.
I’m not so interested in iMac indeed, but one think pulls my attention.
The power cable.
The magnet attached cable which the AC adopter part has Gigabit ether port.
It means that magnet power cable can transfer the data, at least hi-speed as gigabit ether. It is not just power cable.
It means technically Apple can make Magsafe-ish dock like Surface dock by Microsoft, doesn’t it ?
It might be coming to other upcoming Macs (even to Laptops ? not sure about size) and might be used as Apple version of Surface connector.
Someone please buy me a pizza if my guess hits the jackpot :P
